Getting Around

The temples and shrines in southern Kyoto are far from one another, so traveling time can eat into your day. If you visit Tofuku-ji, consider combining it with a visit to Fushimi-Inari Taisha, farther south. Uji City can easily take the thorough traveler an entire day, too. To get to Uji, take the JR Nara Line or the Keihan Line to Uji Station.
